WOW Kent is absolutely delighted to report that the Kent Association for the Blind Medway Art Group, founded by artist Wendy Daws, has been shortlisted for the Epic Awards 2015, a nationally recognised award scheme set up by Voluntary Arts in 2010 to celebrate the achievement of voluntary arts groups across the UK and Republic of Ireland, by recognising the skill, innovation and hard work that goes into their activities.
It was the group’s brilliant Graffiti project with Rochester Cathedral, Medway Open Studios, Sun Pier House and Squirl-Art (aka Greg Stobbs) which won the nomination.
Vote now to help the group win the People’s Choice Award!
The application will go forward to the national judging, which is carried out by panels of experts and announced at the Epic Awards Winners Reception in Salford on 21 May.
Because the group has been shortlisted, it is automatically entered into the People’s Choice Award, which is an extra award voted on by the general public. This is where you come in.
The public vote is now live and will remain open until 5pm on Monday 18 May.
Please follow this link to vote for the group: http://shortlist.epicawards.co.uk You’ll find them listed as ‘Kent Association for the Blind Medway Art Group’ and tagged with the featured photograph published above.
