Sew an Apron with Bette Love
Sunday 4 February 10:30 – 13:30
Join Rachel for the first of 2018’s sewing workshops.
Rachel will introduce you to the basics of sewing with a machine with this simple workshop for you to get truly creative in making a simple apron. All the basic information for getting started and inspiration will be provided by Rachel, a fashion degree graduate from UCA. She will take you through how to use patterns, sewing machines, measuring accurately right through to being as outrageous as your imagination will allow to create your very own truly unique apron.
£20 per person, if you are bringing your own fabric and trimmings (ribbons, fat 1/4’s for pockets, bows etc) 1 metre of fabric will be enough for a basic apron, and 2.5 of ribbon should be plenty for the ties. The more you bring the more creative you can get with the apron.
Rachel will also bring some fabric, but that will be a extra £5 on the day. She’ll also have a few trims for which she only asks a small donation for. Unravel & Unwind also has a fabric stash on site, and as with Rachel will ask for a donation towards supplies.
All abilities are welcome, as are children (must be accompanied by an adult) and you are welcome to bring your own sewing machine.
For all workshops a 25% non-returnable deposit is required on booking with the balance payable 7 days before the workshop. Payment in full can be made on completing the booking form, payment plan is available please email firstname.lastname@example.org to make arrangements.
